TACKY Vs Not Tacky

I am a professional wedding planner and have come across 1000`s of weddings which have a wishing well or tree.

In other cultures including greeks and lebanese it is traditional to pin money to the brides dress, so it has always been customary to bring money to a wedding and give as a sign of good luck and good wealth. That is the meaning of money as a wedding.

I also believe that if you have a house full of things you have accumulated over the years you should have to get a 2 pack of towels from K-mart if you currently have set of Sheritons towels. Many guests prefer to get $20 in an envelope than have to worry about storing Nanna`s gift that she got from the local shops.

So `Disgusted` until you are educted in the meaning of a wedding and the money culture I suggest you leave your opinions to yourself and do not tarnish others opinions and experiences as tacky. I think the way you are behaving are very negative and a wedding should be a positive wonderful experience that you will want to look back on with smiles. Try not to ruin somewhere else`s experience.
