David`s Bridal

I`m glad to see that I`m not the only one who was disappointed with the service at David`s Bridal (in Monrovia/Duarte). Even with an apointment, I was ushered in amongst others like we were a herd of cattle. A staff member shoved a catalog in my hand (even though I had done my research and knew exactly what numbers I wanted to try on) and she told me to mark 3 dresses. She then told me that if I wanted to try on more than 3 I`d have to make another appointment!! The fitting area is set up in a huge horseshoe shape so everyone can see everyone else modeling their dresses in front of their respective mirrors...NOT a place to go if you want an intimate, memorable experience! When I had tried on my last dress, the woman helping me said "you can leave your slip in the fitting room" and walked away. She was nowhere to be found after I got dressed...no "can I help you with anything else?"..."here`s my business card if you need anything in the future,"...NOTHING.

For personalized service in So. Cal., try Yelena`s in Monrovia. They don`t have some of the dresses I want to try on, but after I find them elsewhere I`m ordering from Yelena. Each time I`ve been there, I`ve had AT LEAST 2 people helping me. They work with you for as long as you want without making you feel rushed. They even asked me to model a couple of their new arrivals just so they could see the dresses on a real bride! Trudy is super helpful and knowledgable!
