How To Apologize For A Cash Preffered Poem?

HELP! My fiance wanted to note on a newsletter that we would preffer monitetrary gifts. So I found a cute poem that explains it in a nice way. As nice as it can it considering I was againist it to begin with. Well, I thought he read it and approved it before the letter went out. Yesterday he went out golfing with the guys and they were giving him a hard time about it. He said he didn`t even know that it went out. He wants to send another newsletter apologizing if it offended anybody and that we really do not care what people gave to us if they were even planning on giving us a anything. I don`t except any gifts at all. But now I don`t know how to word it. I need to send it out ASAP because our wedding is Aug 4 2007. HELP!!!
