Met On The Net - Theme Ideas?
Hi folks:
As my subject line suggests, my fiance and I met online and we`d like to incorporate this theme into our wedding. For starters, I`d like to have a cake topper that shows us on computers or something, but the only one I`ve seen thus far is on a website that does custom work. Theirs was about $325 US, which is out of the question! We`re in Canada, so US dollars present some additional costs for us. As in, add at least 50% to the cost just in exchange, not even counting the shipping. No way would we pay $500 for a cake topper!
Surely we`re not the only Canadian couple who met this way. There`s got to be wedding stuff and tons of ideas for people like us that don`t cost a fortune. Help, anyone?

Okay.
First, I would suggest a chocolate computer cake topper that is edible. Easily created from molds, two computers back to back, tied with a ribbon would look nice. Place the plastic bride and groom on either side of the two computers, making sure they are just tall enough to see one another.
Next, I would suggest a chocolate CD to look like the computer CDs. Place the plastic bride and groom couple in front of the CD, and you are finished.
Finally, for a cake top that you can keep, I would suggest a gazebo style arch that is easily transformed into a cyber cafe, complete with miniature dollhouse furniture of computers.
