Calla Lily Centerpieces

Hi Jackie:
Calla Lilies will make a beautiful centerpiece, but could get very expensive if your sister wants a vase of them at each table.

Here is an idea that I saw on HGTV: Take one Calla Lily and submerge it in water in a tall round (cylinder type) vase. The vase they used was about 10-11 inches high with about a 5 inch opening. I have seen these vases at Michaels and at Walmart. Once the flower is submerged it appears LARGER, and, because of this, you only need 1 for each vase/table. It was the most beautiful, simple and elegant arrangement that I have ever seen!

I was going to suggest the same thing as gail. Callas look beautiful this way, and though they are never cheap, you can buy them in bulk for less. I personally think you may have to put 2 or 3 in a bowl, but that`s a lot cheaper than 6 or 12.
