Is This A Tacky Idea?

I am doing regular centerpieces for the tables at my reception in october...i am doing regular favors for everybody also...is it tacky to do one really nice engraved favor with me and my hubby`s name and the wedding date for each table and then do the marked napkin to sortof "raffle" it off...or maybe even 50-50 tickets for them?..and also for giving away the centerpieces?

Hi Chrissie -

I would HIGHLY recommend not pursuing that idea. I`m an experienced wedding vendor who`s attended dozens of weddings and never seen that done. I really think your guests will think its cheesy, tacky and not very classy. Try another avenue if you`re looking to make money. But NOT on your wedding day.

Chrissie,

I understand I think that you are not wanting to make money off of this, but to figure out the fairest way to give away the items right?

I would suggest that if you are going to go in this direction, go with "Honoring" the guest with the closest birthday to your wedding date at each table, or some similar idea. Maybe the oldest at each table or the longest married couple at each table. Just an idea and suggestion.
