Renewing Vows After 7 Yrs

We got married by the mayor in her office on short notice because my husband is in the military. He is getting ready to go overseas for a year in sept and when he gets back we are planning on renewing our vows. It will be 7 years for us then. Nothing formal we want it to have the feel of a big BBQ family thing. We werent able to have family there or my dad walk with me the first time around and thats always bothered me some. I`m not real sure on how to go about some of these girl type of things so if anyone could tell me what we need todo or not do I would really appreciate it! thanks
