Use Of Older Children In Weddings

I have 2 goddaughters that are too old to be flower girls. I really don`t want to have them as junior bridesmaides either and both would be too shy to do a reading. Any ideas??? I was thinking of having them come down the isle and present flowers to our mothers. Is this a dumb idea?

It`s your wedding, and you can do what you like! My fiance and I are only having the children and granddaughters in our wedding party. Ringbearer will be our 5 year old granddaughter :)

I saw a wedding Sat. Were the young girls passed out the programs as the guest entered.
