Throwing My Parents 25th Wedding Anniversary

Hey Im planning on throwing my parents a 25th wedding anniversary the reason im thinking so far ahead is b/c my brother and my main gift to them is going to be a trip to Paris and Rome for 8 days. They have never really been off the east coast let alone out of New Jersey. My fathers family is from a small town outside of Rome, id love for him to go see where his roots are from. As far as throwing this party... Im clueless. I know ill be catering it b/c im a master cook. Its two years off but I need the time to save and finish college. PLEASE give me some ideas/tips to help me make this the best day ever for them.
