Wedding Planners Income

I was wondering where the best place is for a wedding planner to be employed, or am I better offf (financially) having my own company?
Also, what is the base salary that a wedding planner can make? And how much can one expand the income?

After I`m out of college I`m planning on becoming a wedding planner, but what type of classes do I have or need to take in college to succeed my dream? And how much does an average Wedding planner make per month or in a year?
