Invitation Ettiquette
Does anyone know how to properly address the actual invitations.....??? For example : If the name of the couple is Doctor John Smith and his wife of 33 years is Mrs Jannette Smith, how do I address this??
Is it Dr and Mrs John and Jannette Smith or ...
Dr and Mrs John Smith or.....
Dr and Mrs Smith?????
Can someone please help?

Hi. The names should be written on one line with the person wit the title listed first: “Dr. John Smith and Mrs. Jannette Smith”. Then the inner envelope should read: “Dr. And Mrs. Smith”.
If the couple are both medical doctors the envelope should be addressed : “The Doctors Smith”. Please note that the title “Dr.” should not be used in addressing a Ph.D., someone with a doctorate degree, but only a medical doctor, since Ph.D.s are called doctors only in academia, not socially.
Hope this helps. If you need any further information, feel free to email me at divineweddingsandevents@gmail.com
