Young Children

My daughter has one friend who takes her infant everywhere, even if she`s not invited. So, on her wedding invitation, she wants to include "no young children, please", even though the children`s names will not be on the envelope. I feel this is not correct, especially since it will only apply to the one friend, and I feel she should call the woman instead (or let me call her) to emphasize that the infant and her soon-to-be born baby are not invited. My daughter is afraid this will get her friend angry.

This is a tuffie!!!! But, it is your daughter`s wedding, not her friend`s, so if she doesn`t want children there, then that is her decision. She should call her friend and be as nice as possible and give reasons for not wanting young children there. She will understand if that is her friend.

I would do the phone call, too, but make abso-tootin-lutley sure that no one under the age of 12 is at the wedding!
