Hey!
I know where you are coming from. Both of my sisters were killed in a car accident quite a few years ago and I cant imagine not having them a part of my wedding somehow!
I was thinking of lighting candles for them at the church or having a flower for each of them in my bouquet (white roses), also I wanted to have a slide show of them and me at the reception!
Im not sure what I am going to do, but these were a few of my thoughts!
I hope it helps! If you think of anything else I would love to hear from you!!!!!!
Good luck and congrats!

Those are good ideas. Except my wedding is outside. My sister loved butterflies. So thats my theme. We are getting real butterflies and then releasing them at the ceremony, so that is kinda for her in my own way, but i want something more. I thought about getting a pic of her and somehow getting in on the pillow for the ring bearer which will be my little brother. Just not sure what else.

The butterfly thing is cool! And so is the pillow. How old is your brother? Did he know your sister? How did she die?
My wedding is also going to be out side as well! But I think I can still do that stuff I mentioned.
Pictures are so nice, you could even have a bunch of pictures of her and put them in one of those tall room divider picture frames (do you know what I mean) Where are you from? Then you could have that at the front with you and your other bridesmaids! ????

I love the idea with the tall pic thing. That would be neat. My brother is 6, yeah he knew my sister very well. She was 14 when it happened. She was with her "boyfriend" and he pulled out in front of a semi. She was killed instantly, and of course he is just fine. But i guess that is how it goes. I am from ohio, and you?

You could also try printing her favorite poem or Verse on your Wedding program or even the poem or verse read at the wedding. Try having a picture of your sister at the ceremony maybe where people would pick up the wedding programs. You could also use a unity candle & mention Her in memory on the wedding program.
Hope I`ve given some valuable ideas.

I think the picture idea would be really nice! You could put a bunch of great pictures in the frame and it would make you feel like she is more a part of things I guess.

I am sorry that you have to deal with this for your wedding. I went to a wedding one time where the bride had lost her sister also, and she had one less bridemaid than groomsmen and placed a flower in where her sister would have been. It was beautiful and everyone knew what is was for!

My Fiance`s best friend passed away 2 years ago of cancer at the age of 20. We plan on putting a big picture of him in front of the church on an easel by the groomsmen... Just like in Armageddon.

The suggestions for a picture are wonderful.....I think you could expand on it by having a small table with her picture, her favorite flower and a candle enclosed in a votive. The votive would solve the problem of it being outdoors and having the wind blow it out. You could either have the candle already lit or light it during the ceremony. You would have many places that you could place the setting but I think with the bridal party would be wonderful.
Using a pc, scanner and printer you can make a photo transfer that could be ironed onto the ringbearers pillow.....you may want to make your own pillow for this to see how it adhere`s to the satin.
Also, my best friend is getting married in September and my daughter is making her bouquets. It is a country themed wedding so we are using fresh cut flowers....into these we are putting 4 white roses...one each for her parents, a brother and someone who was very close to all of us.
Best of luck on your wedding and know that your sister will be there with you.

Oops...I meant to say that you could also place one stem of her favorite flower in your bouquet.
Another idea is to have a bouquet made for her and put in a place of honor. After the wedding it could be placed at her burial site. Good luck
