Sweet 16 Help

Hi. Im having my sweet 16 on june 14. My actual b-day is june 16 though. Anyways. I am having the candle lighting ceremony. But im not sure which version to use. I have heard of girls having 16 close relatives and friends come up and say something about them (them being the b-day girl) and i have also heard of the b-day girl saying something about 16 close relatives and friends. So im not sure which to do and what all i need for both. If i choose to talk about 16 family members and friends would i need a poem or speech for each one? and if i chose to let 16 talk about me would i need anything? which is most commonly used? would i be hurting feelings if i didnt choose a certain person?
