Sponser Wedding WTF?!?!

What is up with all this "sponser me please" crap?

That`s all I` ve been seeing.

What ever happened to pay your own way?

Like the post "needy people", needy people need food and shelter not weddings.
How many people do you see on the street corner all dirty holding a sign "will work for my wedding cake" or can you spare change for my favors.

UHHHHH! IT"S YOUR WEDDING PAY FOR IT YOURSELF!
Like I said before just my opinion I could be wrong!

You people are all truly insane. If someone wants to have a company sponser their wedding that IS their business. Not only is it their business but it helps THE business that is sponsering. I know a business owner and he has said that he has sponsored weddings at least three times, and it has greatly increased his business (that`s why he did it three times). The fact is Cathy S is uneducated on this topic and sounds a little bitter. Maybe it`s the money hungry, spoiled little debutantes that she knows that only invite people for the kind of gifts they can give. And yes, usually anytime anyone has a reception, it is for the guests not the bride and groom, since they can simply go to the courts and get it done if it was just for them.
ANYWAY!!! It`s very simple...All you have to do is whatever product it is that you need, go to that vendor (it is best if their a new to fairly new business, maybe even a small one that is off the beaten path, not on a busy street) Ask them about their product first, get some idea of whether their product would fit your style. See samples, as many as they will allow. Since they`re doing this for free, they might feel that they can give you the lower line things. Let them know it doesnt have to be their best, which would be an extra cost for them. But, tell them that you want what best advertises their product and business. All they can say is yes or no. If no, move on to the next business. If they say yes, find out how they would like to advertise...a nice small, tasteful post card next to the product or a large, obnoxious banner...which would you accept? Another thing you can do is ask a business if you can get the product at cost, and in return they can still advertise at your wedding. That should get you started. Forget all the other hooplah. It`s not a topic of opinion against or for, it was just a question.
