60th Wedding Anniversary
I`m thinking of having a bbq party for my folks 60th anniversary and need some help with decorations. They are casual people. I`m thinking BBQ because I can`t get my mom out of the house
Thanks.

I planned one very similar for my parents 50th anniversary. It was catered and in our backyard. We catered a country BBQ meal. I don`t think we spent more than $800 total, but only had about 30 guests...mostly family. I have pictures. I set up a guest book table and put their original wedding photo on it in a new frame. THAT was a big hit because not many there knew them when they married. We borrowed tables and chairs...both card tables and baquet tables. Decorated with vinyl table clothes, candles, flowers in coordinated colors. Ordered a two tier wedding cake with a rented Anniversary cake top....and ordered napkins with their names and then the two years....first and 50th before and after the month they married. We only served boxed wines and beer....no opened or catered bar....and a nice champagne for a toast. If you want pictures, let me know. JoAnne

Janell,
Have you thought about including a slideshow of your parents through the years. It will serve as entertainment for your guest and wonderful family heirloom. You can check out a short sample of an anniversary show on my website. If you would like to view a full show let me know and I will forward one to you.
