Favors For Destination Wedding???

Hi there, I`m planning a September wedding in Las Vegas. See as though this is a destination wedding, I had a question on wedding favors. Is it appropriate to send wedding favors after I return home? With a thank you note for they`re gifts to us. Or should I plan on shipping things out there. I found some inexpensive wedding albums; I wanted to send everyone a few pictures of the day they attended. Is this ok?
