Dama De Honor!!!! Help PLEASE!!!

Can anyone tell me what it is a Dama de Honor is supposed to do and wear? I`m really desperate because not everone has one in their quince and so it`s really hard finding information about it. Anything anyone can tell me would REALLY help. Thanx!!
