Broadway Theme Parties

How is everyone getting away with making copies of Playbills for table centerpiece decorations!! I am trying to plan a Gala and wanted to do the same thing, but was told nothing could be copied that it would be a Copyright infringement, so now we are having to buy original Playbills. As long as you don`t copy anything, you are okay!
