Interracial Wedding(black And Mexican)

Please help me decide on a practical buffet that reflects traditional mexican wedding food. Having the family do the catering, but I want it classy.

Our family all chipped in to cater our wedding too, and I was also concerned about it not appearing "classy" enough, since family was catering. But seriously, presentation is everything. We decorated the food table with fresh flowers (not huge, expensive arrangements, but we scattered small groups of a few flowers each on the table around the dishes) and lots of simple white candles. Of course, you could use whatever color candles will reflect your wedding`s style. But really, scattering some fresh flowers around, and adding candles (use several heights, from votives to tall tapers) will instantly add a lot of class to the food table.

Also, to jazz up the look of the food itself, try adding bits of color to the dishes for interest. Sprinkle chopped green onion or cilantro on top of the beans, add chopped red bell pepper to the rice, etc.. -- anything that adds a little color interest to the look of the dish.

Have fun!!!!!
