You always start at the top and the lacing design is up to you. Most people do the v but do it different ways to see what looks the best. When you get to the bottom, you tie a bow and tuck it in. You should have a spot where it can be tucked at the bottom of the lacing. Remember when you do the lacing, do it loose at first and make sure all of the laces are flat and not twisted. After you get to the bottom, go back to the top and tighten one at a time. Make sure you dont tie it too tight because allthough it feels "secure" you could end up being in pain all around the ribs & belly later. Make sure you are comfortable.
