Cheap Garden Theme Wedding

One idea might be to decorate with your own annual flowers you potted. You will have to pot them at the beginning of the year. These are movable so you can take them from the ceremony to the reception. From summer garden weddings (if you have a lot of in town guest) pot lucks are great. I thought it sounded cheesy at first, but I attended one you actual have a lot better food and it is fun! These are two big budget savers for us.

Hi -I am also having a wedding in august (I live in New Zealand so it will be spring) and am on a very strict budget also. Im having the reception straight after the ceremony at the same location and just having interesting easy to make nibbles instead of a sit down meal. I dont know if its the same in the states but here in NZ its cheaper for us to buy a suit than rent them, and I am buying identicle dresses from `Max`, a womans clothes store for the bridesmaids for under $100 each. For table decorations Im potting in a small pot a nice flower and then giving them as wedding favours once people start to leave. My partners mother is making the cake - a small one for the bridal party and then cupcakes for the guests so we know exactly how much to supply and dont overspend on food.
