Centerpieces For Winter Wedding

I really need help!!! my wedding is in 9 months and I have almost everything planned except what`s going on the tables!!! I`m in college, so I`m on a budget, and thought if I could just make something to fit our winter wedding theme I would be saving alot. But I just have no good ideas as to what to make. If anyone can help me I would very much appreciate it.

I would suggest just an idea off the top of my head. Buy small round styrofom ball and wrap color coordinated ribbon around and then place three-four pine cones in center with a color maching bow on top or just for a simple elegant look make candle rinswith pine cones and elittle clear candle holders with color matching votive canles.

I am working on ideas for decorating my daughter`s friends wedding. I have tossed around a lot of different things. One of them was taking twigs of varying heights and spray painting them white and placing them in a clear vase (size and shape of your own choosing). You can purchase crystal ice chips from wilton cake supplies or use clear marbles or stones in the bottom. I think it would create simple elegance.

Beaded angel ornaments are a nice idea. Want a picture of what I had?

You can buy clear Christmas decortations and fill them with anything you want, maybe paint your names on the front with glitter and give them as Favors, they are pretty cheap for clear christmas blubs.....

Hi. I am also having a winter wedding in Nov. With the ceremony being at the beach. My colors are Navy Blue and Silver. For our tables we are putting matching big bows with pine cones that we decorated with white paint and irridesent glitter. And a couple of snowflake floating candles. My Bridesmaids are carrying open flower baskets instead of bouquets. Kinda mystical. E-mail me and maybe we can figure out things together that we may have missed.

This is off topic but they have beautiful snowflake earrings at Tiffany`s. You can see them on the modern bride website under winter weddings-receptions.

Thank you all for your ideas. I was really looking toward pine cones and candles, and because of all your ideas I think I may use a clear glass bowl, putting a thick candle in the middle and filling in around it with baby pine cones that are painted silver and gold. My colors for the wedding are burgandy, silver, and gold. Thank you all once again for getting me out of this block of thought!!!!

For my wedding, I chose to use three candles of different heights and surrounded them with berries, it was very simple and elegant. My colors were red and off white and my candles for the centerpieces were red and I chose sugar berries and other red berries. Watch for sales at places and you can get these for half price. The holder for the candles was a clear type plate or mirror, whichever you have, the berries cover it up anyway.

I have made my daughters centerpieces for her Dec wedding. We took rounded styrofaom rings wrapped them with blue satin looking Tuling the took clear oranament bulbs and sky blue ornament bulbs pushed the neck of the bulb down into styrofoam with hot glue on them, one blue then clear, then blue ect. I sprayed the clear bulbs with snow. I then took blue poinsettas and silver leaf picks and blue and silver glitter picks and made a small boquet pick and put one on each side straight across from each other. Then we used a huricane with a sky blue candle and on the huricane I put silver metalic cut out snowflakes randomly on the globe they are absolutely beautiful. Its cost me about five dollars a centerpeice. We are getting sky bue chair covers. On every other table we are putting satin sky blue snowflake table cloths. It is gorgeous.

It is a little late for you, barbie, but for others who might be looking...my wedding is in Dec. 2004, and our centerpieces are from marthastewart.com. They are so perfect for a winter wedding, and really inexpensive. It is a compote (footed bowl) with little wrapped boxes. They double as favors. There will be a little tag with our names and date, and wrapped with ribbon in our colors. They are stacked in a pyramid type shape. The top box has a tag with the table number. They are so cute for a holiday wedding! The boxes are going to be filled with something christmas-y...cookies, or candies. I am thinking about those snowcaps. Not sure yet, we have a while before that becomes important. This is very inexpensive. Look for boxes at papermart.com. The ones we are getting are 16.00 for 200. The whole thing should be about 60.00 with enough for 200. Thats a really good price considering your favors and centerpieces are all done!

I needed advice on my wedding planning. My wedding date will be at the end of November 2004. The dilemma is, do I stick with a autumn wedding theme or go with the winter theme? Any ideas or links to fall favors, centerpieces, or invitations? Thanks.
