Exerecise, eat low fat meals.

I exercise at home for 30-60 minutes 3-4 days a week and I eat low fat meals and I lose 1-3 pounds a week.

Good Luck!

I`ve been using that power 90 workout program and i`ve been loving it so far. I`ve lost 5 inches and am still going strong! maybe you should look into something like that. I ordered my online www.power90workout.com. It`s one of the better ones that i`ve seen. Good luck to you!!

Hey girl,

I totally feel you - it seems like it`s next to impossible to lose weight! but everything everyone`s said is right - eat sensibly (don`t starve yourself, but maybe swear fries off for good) and get some exercise.

It`s funny that she brought up power 90 - it seems like i`ve been hearing about it everywhere...my moms using it and she swears it works. Maybe give it a try?

I joined Curves a few months ago. 30 minutes 3 times a week - it`s pretty easy. At first I was discouraged because I wasn`t noticing much weight loss according to my scale at home. However, after 6 weeks I was re-measured at Curves and I had lost 4 inches! It`s worth checking out...especially if you are busy and can only commit to a 30 minute workout.

I hate to be a wet blanket here. But perhaps you should consider that you may not fit into the gown, perhaps you were never meant to be your mom`s size. I know that this scenario must be a devastating thought, but you should plan for a backup. I`ve known for a long time that I would never fit into my mom`s gown, even though it would have been wonderful to do so.

I just ordered my wedding gown five days ago. At first I didn`t like the fact that they ordered a fairly large size. I`m doing Weight Watchers and have lost ten pounds since February, I`m thinking I can lose at least another ten by September and fit into something smaller. But as hard as I`m going to try for that goal, I know I can`t count on it. It would be awful if the time came and I didn`t fit into it.

Perhaps you can use part of your mom`s gown as a piece of another dress - if your mom didn`t mind losing it, you could have a part of her gown on as you walked down the aisle.

Give yourself another month, maybe try Weight Watchers (it`s working for me). But if I were you, I`d also have an alternate plan in case things don`t work out the way you plan them.

I agree, I ordered a dress then changed our date from May 31st to Feb 15th, I had to go with a different dress but it was just as beautiful

Perhaps if there`s time, you could find a local dressmaker that would be able to make a copy of the dress in your size or at least one that incorporates many of the same details, features, etc. As your mom`s dress.

Here is my suggestion: First start by counting how many calories you take in a day. I was taking in around 2300 a day, and my personal trainer said i needed to drop to 1900 a day when i work out, and 1600 on days I do not. Currently I am not overweight, but I am trying to tone up. Don`t worry so much about aerobic exercise, doing low weight training will burn more fat and calories than aerobic training. Nutrition is 65-75% of weight loss, exercise is like 10%. I cut pasta out of my diet two years ago and did 20min of workout 4 days a week, ate lite butter popcorn, beefjerky, diet soda, tuna salad sand. And all these are low cal low fat low carb. Now since I was able to lose like 20 lbs, i eat breakfast, a small snack, lunch(tuna or turkey sand.), a snack, a well balanced dinner, and a snack before bed. Carbs and fat are okay, and as long as you stay within a certain caloric range, and work out. You should see some results, but you will have to have will power. A candy bar is okay everyday, as long as you don`t go over your allowed calories for the day.. By the way, some of this I figured out on my own, and others from nutritionists and Personal trainers. Good Luck with whatever you chose to do!! And more power toyou!

Wow, I`m also using Power90 and I love it.--My fiance and I are not overweight, but just trying to tone up for the honeymoon in which we plan to spend in very little clothing (smile). We love the workout and we actually feel the difference since starting a few weeks ago.

I also have Pilates which is a cool low impact workout. I have also been a member of curves. By far--Power90 is a wonderful workout. If combined with good lowfat foods--you`ll definitely be on your way.

If you just have to lose weight quickly: Try the cabbage soup diet--it`s not easy, but it works and you can lose 10 lbs in 7 days!!!! This is really true!!!!

The latest version can be found in "First" magazine found in local grocery stores. The issue came out about 6 weeks ago. I don`t know where mine is, but it`s a pretty old diet so I`m sure you can find it through some search engine. You may be able to order the old copy from First Magazine directly--It`s the flush away the buldge diet.

Good Luck!!!!

Funny story-good friend of mine was low on budget but bought my bridesmaid dress for her wedding. Problem-XL in a mom and pop Asian clothing store. I am Asian (short) but XL in those stores means M! She gave me the dress two weeks in advanve. I had slimfast 3 times a day till the wedding. Fit in the dress but couldn`t sit for longer than 5 minutes. It was worth it to see her get married and happy...but the reception was 3 weeks later and no way did I fit in the dress after that!!!
