Ibex Weddings Is A Fraud

I am writing to you for help. Over seven months ago, I was married in Fort Wayne, IN. We contacted a gentleman, named Alex Pearl, through a company called Ibex Studios/Ibex Productions/Ibex Weddings. This man came and video taped my wedding, I do have a picture I can provide. It has now been over seven months and we have not heard from him, we have no video in hand, and we know he is out there still maintaining his website and defrauding others out of special memories.

Over the past number of months, I have tried each way possible to track down this man. I have called many different phone numbers, many of which have been interrupted or disconnected. I have even gone to the one address I had for him, a post office box in a UPS building. It was informed by many people who now have his phone number and by the UPS gentleman that we are not the only one`s he doing this to.

Please contact me to move further to put an end to what this man has done.

Alex, I see that you have responded. What do you mean not contacted you? Have you not read all of these messages? We have & you haven`t responded! These are precious memories of ours that you have stolen. Even a past coworker of yours wrote in stating you were a fraud. We demand our videos and or money back or possible legal action will be taken!

Alex, I cannot believe that you said that! We have all been trying to hunt you down for months now....some for over a year! Please, just mail us all our tapes. Most of us don`t care about editing at this point, just send us our raw footage. I cannot believe that you are keeping these from us. I think what you did to us was horrible, the least you can do is give us our videos!

Brides! Remember…do not let words stop you from pursuing this…only ACTIONS! Many of the clients on this forum were told they would get videos by a certain time and haven’t. One example is Neha was told in January that she would get her video in 2 weeks and she still hasn’t gotten it. They tell you to contact them but I have been contacting them for 9 months with no response. Do not let these promises slow you down. Remember the reason you are being contacted at all is because people spoke out.

If Ibex really cares about us they would’ve sent us a copy of our raw footage at this point at the least. It is not time consuming or expensive to do so. Then they can take months to edit our videos. Since they didn’t send us a copy of our raw footage then I take this promise as another stall tactic.

I hired Ibex Studios to videotape my wedding in June 2006 and I have not gotten any response from Ibex Studios since July 2006.. Keep in mind that the e-mail I used is the same e-mail address that Ibex recently provided on their website encouraging you to contact them and not complain to outside sources. Three weeks ago I e-mailed Alex Pearl at Ibex asking for my raw footage and nothing else…no refund…just my raw footage. I have not received a response to my e-mail and have not received any raw footage in the mail. It is not an issue of a sub-contractor because Alex Pearl videotaped my wedding and I have confirmed this by comparing pictures with other brides. Ibex asked for Neha’s address 3 weeks ago to get her raw footage and she hasn’t gotten anything. Be aware that these could be stall tactics.

I hope we all get our videos but we can’t stop pursuing them until they are literally in our hands. I have waited long enough and I am pursuing this full force, head on with the FBI, police, General Attorney’s office, etc.

I contacted the West Alis police department and they did confirm that the West Alis address provided is an apartment building.

My husband and I had similar issues using IBEX for photography. We were married in mid-June of 2006. It took 3 months of excuses and hounding for our CEREMONY pictures to finally be sent to us (in 09/06). And then it took another 3 months to receive a partial amount of our reception pictures, again with plenty of excuses and non-responses. We do not have anything from the start of our reception to the time I am dancing with my husband`s father (no cake cutting, first dance with my HUSBAND, pictures with my elderly grandmother, people eating, giving of toasts, etc). Mr. Pearl basically said the pictures did not exist (even though we watched the photographer take them!). At that point, we gave up; we`re grad students and we simply don`t have the time or resources to track him down and make him find the pictures or give us a refund of some kind. It still makes me seethe when I think of the memories that we simply don`t have captured.
