Ibex Studios

I feel absolutely sick to my stomach now because I am just reading emails from other brides having the same problem with Ibex Studios! My wedding was 11 months ago also in Wisconsin and we have yet to receive our wedding video. I have contacted Ibex and Alex Perl several times in the past few months with no response. We have not received anything and they also have photographs of ours I sent them for a photo montage and DVD cover. Has anyone heard from them? What can we do?

I don`t think that address is correct. I haven`t gotten my DVD from him yet, but I did get my pictures that I sent for the photo montage, and they came from a North Riverside, IL. Whether that is a PO Box or not, it is not in WI.

Brides! Remember…do not let words stop you from pursuing this…only ACTIONS! Many of the clients on this forum were told they would get videos by a certain time and haven’t. One example is Neha was told in January that she would get her video in 2 weeks and she still hasn’t gotten it. They tell you to contact them but I have been contacting them for 9 months with no response. Do not let these promises slow you down. Remember the reason you are being contacted at all is because people spoke out.

If Ibex really cares about us they would’ve sent us a copy of our raw footage at this point at the least. It is not time consuming or expensive to do so. Then they can take months to edit our videos. Since they didn’t send us a copy of our raw footage then I take this promise as another stall tactic.

I hired Ibex Studios to videotape my wedding in June 2006 and I have not gotten any response from Ibex Studios since July 2006.. Keep in mind that the e-mail I used is the same e-mail address that Ibex recently provided on their website encouraging you to contact them and not complain to outside sources. Three weeks ago I e-mailed Alex Pearl at Ibex asking for my raw footage and nothing else…no refund…just my raw footage. I have not received a response to my e-mail and have not received any raw footage in the mail. It is not an issue of a sub-contractor because Alex Pearl videotaped my wedding and I have confirmed this by comparing pictures with other brides. Ibex asked for Neha’s address 3 weeks ago to get her raw footage and she hasn’t gotten anything. Be aware that these could be stall tactics.

I hope we all get our videos but we can’t stop pursuing them until they are literally in our hands. I have waited long enough and I am pursuing this full force, head on with the FBI, police, General Attorney’s office, etc.

The apartment he lives in is probably not under his name. It will be under a girl`s name. They just moved there.

I contacted the West Alis police department and they confirmed that the address West Alis address Wendy provided is an apartment building. Thanks Wendy and Raegen.

So who has called the FBI?

We have had the same issue. Our wedding was in July in Central Illinois. I did alot of investigating and found out he cashed our final payment somewhere in North Carolina. I do have the address and phone number of his landlord. The last time I talked to him, he said he had a number of tapes that the guy had left behind and he moved them into a storage unit in Champaign, IL. The landlord also said that they repossessed his house and he filed for bankruptcy. Anyway, we are still working on getting at least the raw footage. We would also be interested in taking legal action as a group if anyone else is interested.
