What about glass charms? You can make them yourself with beads and maybe nautical pieces, or fishing lures? You may also think about putting martini recipes on cards and placing them in the glasses, wrapping them together.

I used tulip champagne glasses and added black and sliver wedding bells( these were my colors) then I
Added about three or four sliver minature hersey bars. Then I used sliver tulle and wrap it around the glass and tied a sliver ribbon around the stem and placed the name card.

We are planning to do the Martini glass party favor idea but have had a hard time locating approx. 150 glasses at a reasonable price. Where did you purchase yours?

We are doing Martini glasses...we are going to buy the ribbon to wrap around the stem that will have our names and the date we were married. Inside the glass will be confetti to match my bridemaids`s dresses and either chocolates or mints wrapped in tool maybe.....if you are going to use them as favor/place cards maybe you could have the name of the people and table number on a tag attached to the stem??? Please email w/any other ideas. I also paint glass and for my parent`s, his parent`s, and our bridal party I am personalizing their martini glasses with our names painted w/the date and (haven`t decided) a design to match our theme.

The restaurant I work at did a promotion with a vodka company and the martini glasses had little plastic gems glued on them. You can also buy "etching" kits probably at a local craft store. Not sure how much elbow grease this entails, but it`s worth a look-see (when was the last time you heard that phrase!).

To Michele,

The idea I had for the martini glasses was not to decorate them. This way people would be able to take them home afterwards and actually use them. I didnt want our names or dates on it permanantly. SO here is what I am thinking of doing... Using the glasses as a placecard/favor in one. I am going to buy that colored sand they sell in craft stores in my color (or as close as I can come to my colors) and have the reception hall pour some sand in the glasses. Just enough so that I can stand the placecards in the sand. This way I can ,make the cards on my pc so they are neat and legible. And maybe I will have another tag tied to the stem or just write a little thank you note on the back of the placecards. What do you think of this idea?

If you girls want cheap martini glasses go to Pier 1! THeyre only $2 a piece at reg. Price..on sale theyre $1! I bet ebay`s good too. I had a customer in Pier 1 a couple of weeks ago who said she was going to fill them with water and put a floating candle in them. Or you could do epsom salt. Or you could even do the martini glass with a flower floating in them like a gerbera daisy. Seriously..go to pier 1 sometime..we`re full of creative ideas!
By the way, I like the sand with cards idea!

Jen,

I went into Pier one to sign up for their mailing list so I would get theier flyer in the mail but they didnt have one. I get the paper every sunday but never have i seen a sale paper for Pier one. The closest store is a half hour away so its not like I can take a ride every week. Do you work there? If you do work there, maybe you could keep your eyes open for me and let me know. I would appreciate it. Do they ever go on sale on their website?

Thanks!!

It is a great idea to give martini glass favors to your guests. Check out Buy Wedding Favors online for martini glass favors like gel candles, martini bath salts and many more to fit in your budget. I heard from my friend that she picked favors from this online store for her wedding and everybody liked it.

I bought my martini glasses at the libbey outlet. Bought 130 of them for about 1.00 a piece. They are 3oz glasses that look like a martini glass.
