Please Help The Uninformed!

I got the Deprovera Shot in December of last year (12-19-02). Since then, I have become depressed, gained exactly 16 pounds and my sex drive has dissapeared. It hurts to even think about it. My shot is supposed to be up this month and I am definatly NOT getting it again. I was not told anything about the shot when I got it, just that it was just like the pill, but you didn`t have to take it everyday. My question is to the women who have had the shot. I was wondering how long after the shot did it take for you to get pregnant because I am getting married on June 21 of this year and me and my fiance would like to concieve within our first year of marriage. I haven`t had a period since the first month of the shot and I am quiet worried.
