Tight Budget Wedding

Hi !
My daughter is getting married in Florida and we have a tight budget. She has the church where she goes for the ceremony, and for the reception the church will provide also. We need ideas and suggestions for food, (aprox. 40 people)(no booze), decorations, cake, gown and invitations. We have $1,500. I know how it sounds, but we`re really tight and I would love to make this day really special in all humbleness for my young daughter. Help, please!!!! God bless you. :)

Heah there I have a few Ideas that might help. If your haveing an elegant wedding reception, why not try italian food. You could offer two different types of pasta(ex: linguinie, rigitoni, bowtie etc) and a red sauce and a white sauce. Have a side of meatballs and/or Italian sausages. Offer warm breadsticks, and a salad w/ vinergerette. Have Cannolies, italian wedding cookies etc. Offer a fruit platter, and a veggie platter. Estimated budget is around 150.00 for 100 persons. Do the cooking ahead of time yourselves and save money store in heated metal containers until the reception.
Or----------------------------------------------------------------------
Have a Potluck reception with a themed dinner. Just pay for the cake and beverages. Organize w/ reservations so you know what is coming and what is not. Have the bride`s family organize the main course. It will save lots of money if you do not cater. Have everyone work together ---do not just expect one person to do it all. It really works.
