Destination Weddings
I am located in Canada attempting to plan a Destination Wedding for February 2004. I am trying to find the best/most recommended islands to get married on. The plan is to have an open invitation to the ceremony (on a "no pressure to come" basis) and then have a reception when we return from our island retreat to share with all who could not be there for the ceremony. I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who has done something similar to this so I know where to begin my planning ... Thanks!

Oahu Hawaii is a beautiful island. And you can get wedding packages for as little as $95!

Hey there, I am a Wedding Coordinator myself and we organise weddings in Turkey for people from all over the world. You could even combine your wedding with your holiday or honeymoon. Its original, beautiful and cheap compared to most other international destinations. Seeing as you will be having a reception when you get back, the distance wont be a problem for your invitees. Let me know if theres anything I can do to help. Good luck with everything :)

You would definitely want to try the Domonican Republic. It`s really REALLY inexpensive to go there now, but you don`t want to go to Puerto Plata. That place was the "in" thing like over 7 years ago. The new beach to go to there is Punta Cana. It`s not that it`s not nice in Puerto Plata, but it`s a different airport to go there, so the plain ticket will be more expensive since people don`t travel there as much. So Punta Cana would be your best choice.
