Eloping In Ohio

Could someone please tell us how to have a quick wedding in Ohio? We heard you can do a fast 24-hour wedding without waiting for the marriage license. Does anyone know?

TIA

We`re in Southeast Michigan, about 1 1/2 hours from the border. We heard you could do quickie weddings there, which you cannot do here. Takes time for the license, etc. I would appreciate any help you could give :)

How neat, my boyfriend and I are right now living in Ohio but on Saturday are moving to the Flint area in Michigan (Grand Blanc actually). It is a huge move for us...I hope we like Michigan as much as we like Ohio.

Anyways...I`d be happy to help. I will see what I can do and hopefully sometime tonight or at least tomorrow, I`ll have an answer for you!!!!

So far what I`m being told is that you can go anywhere in Ohio and get married immediately. All you have to do is find out what county you want to get married in, if your coming from Michigan and are on U.S. 23 or I-75 then you are going to go through Maumee, Toledo (they are the closest to the Michigan/Ohio border) etc. Find a place there and go to their County Court House. You can get a marriage license instantly because there is no waiting time between registering for your license and actually receiving it, you get it on the spot. You are then free to get married whenever and whereever. I`ll still work on this tomorrow. If you have any specific questions you`d like me to answer, post them here and I`ll get back to you.

My boyfriend and I are getting married in a couple of weeks. I want something quick and easy. Where do I go, and what do I do.
