Making Wedding Gown

I am an experienced seamstress and am going to make my daughter`s wedding gown. She has selected a dress from a bridal shop that has diagonal tuck detailing at midriff and large diagonal tucks at skirt bottom. Does this need to be cut on the diagonal with straight cut underneath? Also there was no princess seaming and no waist line seaming, just seams at side and back. Thanks
