WHAT`S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IVORY AND OFF WHITE?

What is the difference between Ivory and Off-White (SILK CHARMEUSE), anyway? I thought I wanted Ivory, but it looks Yellow-ish to me. Is Off-White an Ivory without the Yellow undertone?

By the way, I will be an otherwise Fair-Skinned bride with a rocking Tan, Black Hair with Subtle Dark-Red Highlights, and Hazel eyes.

Appreciate your help! By the way, thanks for the "other" reply, Bargain Bride! I`ll be in touch as soon as I know what I want! (I`ve heard great things about your company)

All I know is that when I went to shop for my wedding dress I thought I would do a white dress. Once I tried on an Ivory dress it looked MUCH better on my skin tone. I`m Asian, so fair skinned to a pale. Ivory, or off-white, antique-white comes in a variety of shades. But, most of them actually look white, until you put it next to an actual white dress. For me, the ivory gave me a nice color (I went tanning right before the wedding, too) and the white dress made me look bland. Here is a picture of the dress from a website. I opted to wear an a-line underskirt, which poofed it out just a little bit. If you`re interested, the dress is a size 6 and I`m 5` 4". I have all matching accessories as well.
