ONLINE CUSTOM MADE GOWNS?

I tried on a Justina McCafrey "christina" gown at a shop here in texas and fell in love and tried it on like 10 times. My friend told me about online knockoffs and I found one who said they could custom make an identical one, and even had pictures and testimonials, so I ordered one. I got it tried it on and it was horrible! I took it to a seamstress friend and found out why. First, they said it would be silk, but instead it was a cheap "silk blend" half silk, half polyester. Instead of the front being entirely seamless, they tried to hide a seam in pleates. The bodice was cut "off grain" so instead of hanging nice and even it pulled to the left everywhere. The size was a just a touch small but they had surged the seams making it nearly impossible to alter and leaving no "seam allowance". The original had a built in corselet that made my waist look tiny, but this one just had like 4 boneing pieces in it. There was also a flaw in the fabric on the back of the skirt. It was just awful! Luckily we changed our wedding date so I had time to get a new dress. I went back to the shop and found a new Justina gown called "Vivaldi" which I love love love. I told the ladies at the shop about my cheap knock off experiance and they said it wasent the first time thye heard about that happening. We joked about putting it on display as a warning to other brides. Trust me, just get the real dress. Go cheap on the food, or something that everyone forgets anyway, and just gey your dream dress. It lasts forever in your memories and in your pictures.
