My Big Redneck Wedding

Howdy, I`m going to try my best not to sound like a solicitor, because I promise that`s not what we`re trying to do. I work for CMT (Country Music Television) and we`re looking to film an authentic redneck wedding (you know, barns, tractors, hunting, mullets, etc.) that`s coming up between now and May. We are showing the redneck lifestyle in a fun and positive way, and we want to make a show out of it because it`s just so unique. We`re located out in Hollywood so it`s tough to cast authentic rednecks, so any help would be appreciated. If this applies to you or any of your friends or family, please send an email to either my personal address davidjha@usc.edu or the official one bigwedding@cmt.com (although I check my own email more often), with contact info. Thanks for any help, have a redneck day!

Gotta say, although your heart may be in the right place, that all you are doing with this "red neck wedding" idea is fueling the perception that we`re all a bunch of ignorant, in-bred, barefoot idiots. I think Southerners are the last segment of society where it`s considered acceptable, even encouraged, to ridicule and insult. You wouldn`t dare do this to Blacks, Hispanics, etc., for "fun." Why makes you think it`s okay to use Southerners in this way? Shame on you.

Thanks for the input Jane, but we`re actually doing this to portray "rednecks" in a positive light. Nobody gets mad at Jeff Foxworthy or Larry the Cable Guy for making redneck jokes and our show will be similar. Obviously, whoever inquires for the show will be comfortable with this, and I`m sorry if you take it the wrong way. But, people actually do have hunting wedding receptions and get married in barns, and we just want to film it, no strings attached. I guess I should`ve made it more clear in my original post, thanks for helping me clear things up.
