Who Do I Tip, And Who Do I Feed At The Recept
Being new at this, I`m unsure who to tip. If the limo driver, dj, photographer and videographer own their own business, do I tip them...or only if they are EMPLOYEES of said business? Also, since they are not guests, but are hired to perform a service, am I expected to include them in the final head count I give the hall? I`ve been told I have to provide a meal for them, but at $50/person including bar service, that seems a bit "over the top". I mean, I`m not providing meals for the servers at the hall...as employees, they will receive a tip. They are being paid to provide a service, and shouldn`t expect a meal...that`s how I feel about the dj, photog. Etc. Anyone have an opinion or experience they can share ?

It is completely your decision but I would reccommend providing a meal for the photgrapher and anyone else who will be with you for most of the day. Talk to the reception place as they should be able to provide a `crew` meal or such, which should be much cheaper than your price per head. I don`t think you should provide anyone you are paying for a service any alcohol. It is fair to just provide water or softdrink. You are paying them to work, not to drink at your wedding!
Personally, I think providing a meal for the DJ and anyone just working the reception is a bit much as they are probably only working 4 or so hours and should not use your reception as a free meal when they could`ve easily eaten before they got there.
You may get better service if you keep the `help` happy (that`s the theory...) but you should be able to do this by providing non-alcoholic drinks for everyone and crew meals for the people working all day.
Hope this helps.

Danielle...thanks for the suggestion...I never heard of "crew meals", so will take it up with the consultant at the hall. Appreciate your help!
