Host Etiquette

My son and soon to be daughter-in-law live in AZ as his family lives in IN. Is there any exceptable way that we could have a shower for them in IN while they still reside in AZ? The wedding is June 1st in AZ and I don`t see any way they could return to IN for a shower. I am feeling a little distant and want to be a part of the pre wedding plans as well as other distant family members. If this is possible, could you give us a reference guide? Thank you.
