Venetian Masquerade Graduation Ball

Hello!

I am the social representative for my Sixth Form and therefore in charge of our graduation ball this May.
I need some help with the decorations even down to the invites .... General ideas would be much appreciated.

The theme I have chosen is Venetian Masquerade - and I want it to be a magical night we won`t forget... I was thinking metallic colours and harlequins or soemthing... I am confused though....HELP! I don`t have long.
