October Of 2007 Wedding Ideas?

I`m getting married in late October of 2007 and really want a simple yet elegant wedding and reception that focus on the coziness of fall and all the beautiful colors of the foliage (rather than a Thanksgiving or a Halloween theme). From floral bouquets to favors, does anyone have any creative ideas? Thanks!

I`m a nautical event planner whose service is free to the client.

I help my clients to organize their events on yachts that sail on the Raritan Bay and Hudson River.

The vessels are beautifully decorated, and the atmosphere is fun, festive, and glamorous. A truly unique venue for your special day!

You can view all the yachts & get more information from my website. Let me know how I can help!

Sincerely, Camille

My son was married on 10/30/2004. For the rehearsal dinner we used an electric drill to make holes in small pumpkins to make candleholders. I cut dry hydrangea blooms and pepperberry vines from my sisters yard. The vine made wonderful table decoration with raffia and tea light candles. I took the hydrangeas and a large pumpkin tureen to my local florist and they made a striking an beautiful arrangement for the entry table. I also used an antique linen on the table and hung a colorful velvet crazy quilt behind it to block a hallway. Outside, I hung pepperberry wreaths, had pumpkins in a black iron whellbarrow, and twinkle lights in the windows. They loved it! At the church, her mom had dried pampas grass in large urns on either side of the alter, with an iron arch decorated with color-sprayed dried hydrangeas. There were lots of candles, but at a safe distance. Have fun, whatever you do!!!

But you want it to look professional.

Wedding Flowers-DIY Step-by-Step Tutorials

A: Begin by deciding what aspects of your wedding flowers you’d like to do yourself. What designs are you going to do? Choose the Tutorial Package that has the designs you need. There are several to choose from. Or, the “I Want It All” Tutorial Package has all the designs, and all the fluff, from all the packages rolled into one. With that package you can decide later which designs work best for you.

B: Read the WFDIY Planning Guide all the way through. All of it…all 50 pages. The information is invaluable. It will literally walk you “start to finish” through the process of planning, designing and creating your flowers.
