Wedding Announcement

Hi, My husband and I recently got married in November of 2006. We were planning a formal wedding for this May, but things weren`t working out with the planning so we decided to go to the JP for several reasons. It wasn`t until recently that we notified our immediate family. I know that I should send out wedding announcements soon to let our guests know. We are also planning a smaller celebration this Fall. How should I notify our guest of our wedding announcement and up coming reception? Should I do it seperately? Also any recommended vendors or websites of cheap announcements and invitations would be greatly appreciated.
