What exactly are you looking for?
How to handle the ceremony? What colors to use?
The reception?
I can think of a ton of ways to do a double wedding just wasn`t sure what you wanted.

Well, the wedding is in June, it is outside, it has a scottish/Irish theme with green as the main color. My dad will walk us both down the isle, one on each arm, or at least that was our idea. But what next? Should we have two preachers doing the vows seperate? Our vows are going to be slightly different from eachother, so saying the same vows at the same time won`t work. Should we do them alternating? Should one preacher just go back and forth between the two of us? Also, my mom wants a part in the ceramony and my sister and I can`t decide what it should be. Our parents have been divorced for years and my dad lives in another state, so my mom said she wanted to give us away, we told her that we want our dad to give us away even though we rarely see him, but she can have a different part in the ceramony, so what can she do? Just starting the planing and looking for ideas, any ideas on an outdoor double wedding.

Are you have unity candles?
If so have the mothers light the small (family) candles that you will use to light them. She would get to light two! This should happen right before the processional.
She could also read some scripture during the ceremony.

I have seen both parents walk the bride down the isle! Have you done your double weddig? I would love to see pictures or hear how it went! I have a son and a daughter wanting to marry. But out of town family do not want to come two times, so my mom asks "How about a double wedding?" Any ideas would help. How do you know who is to pay for what? Did it work for you?

I had a double wedding with my best friend. We did not have brides mades we stood for each other ,the grooms had there choice of best man and we stood between them. I had my father and my brother walk me down the isle and met my mother with them at the alter and presented her with a single rose. Her and my father gave me away and the same went for my best freind. I dearly love my best friend and was glad to be able to share that day with her at the time, we are still best friends and have been since the 8th grade ,but now i regret it sometimes because your wedding day is the one and only day that is yours totally and i feel cheated out of that in some ways. So my advice to you would be think long and hard about it even though your sister is probably the closest person in the world to you ,you both need to think long term about it.
