BRIDES TO BE
Hello to all the brides to be in 2003, I am getting married August 9th and would love to hear from any other ladies planning a wedding this year, I live in the UK, we are putting our wedding together on a very low budget but we are confident we will have a day to remember, we are making all our own reception hall decorations, we are doing all our own food (with a bit of help from family and friends), I am using a beautiful white dress that has been used before but came up fantastic when cleaned, my sister is making lots of table decorations with me, we have had to cut many corners but things are looking great.
If you are getting married this year and just want a friend to chat with in emails then drop me a line on here and I will get back to you, it would be really nice to talk to all you ladies, to hear your plans or ideas, so come on share the worries, laughs and general ideas of putting your wedding together.

Hello, I`m also planning my big day, and we are on a tight budget. I found a wonderful chapel and reception hall with a very reasonable price. I need a lot of pointer when it comes to the decorations for the reception hall if you have any pointers please feel free to send them to me.

Thanks for replying, well we are still looking for ideas for our hall decorations, we are only making up the main bridal table, we will use our colours lemon and white for table cloths (paper ones), we may use candles for each table with greenery around the bottoms and add some coloured ribbons, there are loads of cheap lovely ideas around the net so surf around, let me know what your colours are.
Where abouts are you getting married, are you in the UK ???

I`m sorry for just getting back to you.
Our Colors are Ivory and Navy blue with silver accents. For my reception I see (this week, next week i may see something else) :). A Blue floater candle vase sitting on a mirror with fresh flowers assembled around it. Ivory table linen with the navy blue under the drape. I would also like to incorporated some balloons, but I don`t have any idea where to put them.
What do you think.
I have a very vivid imagination but no get up and go. LOL.
I rececently found my dress, and booked my venue. I`m in Atlanta, GA.

Hi! My name is Lilly and I live in San Diego, California USA. I eloped on 11/30/01 and am organizing a real wedding/reception for in the next few years and would like ideas. We really don`t have a lot of money. That was why we eloped instead of having the wedding (like I always dreamed of.) My husband feels bad, so he let me order a wedding gown recently. I did my homework and got an $1150 gown for $690. It is a Maggie Sottero Sarchi. It is beautiful. I am trying to find some cheap but nice stuff for our big event. I made my husband promised me that we will have a big thing on or before our 5th anniversory. I envy you guys that will be getting the big event this year. Good luck and I bet you guys will be beautiful. Try to don`t sweat the small stuff on the big day. It has been said, something WILL go wrong. But don`t worry or get stress. S. Washington - I am also getting married on 5/31/03. We don`t have much money for our wedding but I am trying to do whatever it is that we have to do to make it beautiful and memorable. I too am trying to put Together a wedding for around 250 people. For May1.2004. So far I`ve Managed to find a place for the wedding & reception for $450.00. I`ve also bought the items to make my centerpieces for $80.00 for 64 centerpieces. Bought my Wedding Bubbles, Cake Service set, Guest Book, Cake Napkins & Dinner napkins & didn`t pay full price for anything. Check out your Local Hobby Lobby stores for their sales. Some are wonderful up to HALF OFF. Also
Look at Big Lots or your Dollar stores in the area. I found Baskets for our Tables at Wal-Mart for $0.97 each. We also decided to have our Dresses made for the Bridesmaids I went to our local Fabric Store when they had patterns 2/$1.00 and found something similar to what I`d found at the Bridal shop I`d looked at but Won`t cost $125.00 . I also found a seamstress to make my Wedding Dress. With Our Colors being Lavendar & Silver I wanted something a little different looking.
Hope I`ve given some good ideas.
