Winter Wedding
I too am planning a winter 2004 wedding I will only have 8-10 months to plan the event ..we won`t officially be engaged `til may 6 th my b-day :-) I don`t nearly seem as talented as the rest of you and feel very overwhelmed. I need help I have no color in mind so I am open to any suggestions. I`d also like some unique boquet ideas as well. Oh I have two plus size bridesmaids so I need to make sure they feel comfortable in the color and dress. I see a lot of wonderful ideas for december/ x-mas weddings but that doesn`t really apply. So what favors should I use??? ****HELP :-)

Hello.. For colors i would use maybe cranberry, something somewhat dark but very vibrate and beauiful. I think forrest or hunter green is nice too if your having it close to xmas.......personally i wouldnt have it really close to xmas because people will be stressing over xmas gifts for people. And you dont want that?? its just my opinion, you can do that wver you want!!! =0)
I think navy blue &white, with accents of silver would really pretty too!!
I hope i could of help in someways....

Thank You so much ...no we are not having it close to x-mas. More like January 24th thru March sometime. Still have to narrow down our dates just waiting to talk to the priest. Sooooo how about seasonal favors? any ideas. Any idea on style of dress as I said before I have two plus size bridesmaids and two "standard" size bridesmaids so I want a dress everyone feels good in. Has anyone tried the new trend of using the same color but every girl is in a different style dress... How does that look? Never saw it just wonder if It looks nice or not?

I am getting married on New Years Eve (yes kinda crazy but we wanted to do something different!). I chose navy & silver as my wedding colors. My dress is a Maggie Sotterro Giovanni which has silver & sapphire beading...GORGEOUS!! For my bridesmaids I chose gowns by Bari Jay #515 in Navy. They are just beautiful. As for favors, I am burning personalized CDs ( I got the idea from www.weddingfavorcd.com ). My centerpieces are 1 foot mini Xmas trees I bought at Michaels for $1.50 (after X-Mas sale!!) I am decorating them with a string of 10 battery operated white lights, and mini blue & silver ornaments. The guests will be encouraged to take them home at the end of the night. As for the bridal flowers, I have no ideas. Anybody have any suggestions???
I hope some of my ideas helped!!

HI. I am having a more of a mystical winter wedding in Nov. I have a great friend that is doing my flowers. He and I decided on the star-gazer lillies. My colors are Navy and Silver. But i wanted my flowers to stand out. My bridesmaids are carring open wicker baskets with the flowers draping out from both ends with pine needles and navy and silver ribbons. Also my wedding dress is kinda like a fairytale maidens dress that looks wintery. It is unique but so am I and it fits my theme. My wedding cake looks like it has snow falling down the sides of it. And I am using a snowglobe for a cake toping. I just havent found out what to put in it. My reception is at the beach so we are using lots of christmas lights around poles and tables. If you have any other ideas please share them. And I`ll keep sending you mine.

On www.surroundings.com they have great CHRISTMAS centerpieces. They are gorgeous.
For the 2 plus size girlsI think a darker color would flatter there figures. Since dark makes ya look thinner. Maybe a 2 piece bridesmaids dress so the top can flatter their waistlines.

How funny! My b`day is also May 6th and we are planning on getting engaged somewhere around that date too. I always dreamed on a spring/summer wedding but I am think about a winter wedding instead, one year from now maybe January 2006.
I can`t seem to find a place that will be a warm type of a place for the reception. I am not interested in the usualy banquet hall type place. Anyone have any ideas? I am in New Jersey.
