Reception Decorations
My daughter is getting married in August. I want her to have a really nice reception. The hall that we are renting is nice, however, the chairs are a white plastic and can use some type of covers. I have researched covers and they are very expensive. I am getting discouraged because I think chair covers will make the reception look really nice. What do you think about wrapping the back of the chair wilh gold tulle. Also, if i can`t get the chair covers, should I use cloth table covers or plastic. Any suggestions.

Using some tulle and gather it in the back and tied would add a nice accent, you could also do it in a layered fashion with a wider cream or white underneath and a narrower or folded piece of the gold on top...I would definitely try to use the fabric tablecovers if you can, if it is too expensive than do a plastic but use squares of fabric on top for accents, doesn`t cost as much but adds so much!
Congratulations...Enjoy the day, If I can be of any more help email me REV1812@peoplepc.com

Hi! thanks for the advice on the chair covers and the tablecloths. Here is a suggestion. Can I use ivory piliow cases for the top part of the chair. I would sew the pillow case to fit the top of the chair, with a sash of tulle around it. Would that look alright or would it look tacky.

I think that given a tight budget this will probably be a good solution, just make sure that they fit nicely and that they are a nice material...adding the sash will dress it up too.
Good luck
