Granddaughter`s Honeymoon

My granddaughter got married last week and is going to Las Vegas Nevada for her honeymoon. Her and her new husband extended invitations to any family members who wanted to go. His mother is going but my daughter says that is not good ettiquette for this. I wanted to go and I don`t know what to do. Please help.

Hello, I personally don`t think anyone need to be going on this trip. I know they may mean well. This should not be a family vacation, but quality time as a new married couple. Mother in Laws always want to be involved. I think she should stay home too.

I don`t think ANYONE should go either, but, since HIS mother has decided she can`t "miss" out, then you should go, too especially since you really want to! That way you can keep an eye on your granddaughter`s new mother-in-law, so she doesn`t involve herself too much in the newlywed`s marriage. Maybe you can help by keeping HER occupied.
