Gift Ideas For Your Maids

Hi folks!

In the papers here recently, there have been articles about Italian charm bracelets that are apparently all the rage. My mom brought the idea to my attention as a gift for my attendants, and I`m definitely going to use it. They`re stainless steel, but the charms are enamel or gold.

As a sort of test drive, I asked my fiance to buy me a Zoppini bracelet for Valentines and I just love it! It`s a sort of stretchy band, rather like a watch strap. The bracelets themselves are very inexpensive, here they were just $19 - it`s the charms that cost! About $35 each, as they have 18K gold on them. My bracelet has 19 links, each of which you eventually replace with a charm, removing the stainless steel links. He bought me two charms to go with it, my first initial and his (which also happens to be my middle initial). He says he`ll get me one for my new last name once we`re married.

I figured I`d get a bracelet with a charm or two for each of my bridesmaids, maybe with their initials, maybe something else. And only about $100 for the whole thing here, including tax. There is a wedding bell charm, which may be something to remind the bridesmaids of where they got it. Who knows? I want a wedding bell too, I`m waiting for my fiance to buy me one!

It`s easy to become addicted I think! I want more! I`m doing Weight Watchers right now, and I`ve decided that for each ten pounds I lose, I`m going to buy myself a charm. I`m more than halfway to my first one! :)

What do you folks think of this idea? Too cheap? Look around on the internet, Ebay has them too. I`m really pleased with mine.
