Any Ideas For A Sock Hop?
Hello! I was wondering if anyone would have any ideas for a sock hop for younger girls? I need to come up with a simple craft, game, and something for a snack, without spending a lot of money. I am a girl scout currently working on my Silver Award (the highest award attainable for Cadette girl scouts for doing a community service), and I have decided to throw a sock hop for the younger girl scouts in my area, and to get in, they must donate a new or used (but in good condition) stuffed animal to donate to a local children`s hospital. If anyone has any ideas, would you please let me know? These girls will probably be between the ages of six an eleven. Thank you!

In my home town we have sock hops every summer. We usually have a "twist competition" Throw some Chubby Checker on and see who can twist down the furthest without falling and then twist back up.

Hula hoop contests, dance contests, pie eating contests, cake walks, costume contests, musical chairs, a great DJ who can get the party going!
