I, too, am making chair covers for my son`s and my daughter`s weddings. Both are this summer and both are having different types of chairs. I am making 300 of them. I have purchased 54 X 120 white heavy linen tablecloths. I can cut 4 out of each table cloth. My covers are only starting where the seat meets the back of the chair. They go over the top and drape down to the floor. I sew them only along the sides. There is no need to sew the top as it is one continuous piece of fabric and if you are careful with your cutting you can make sure the floor edge is the hemmed edge saving you the time to finish it off. I have cut mine with pinking sheers but you can do a tight zigzag stitch to finish it off along the sides if desired. I have cut 8 feet X 8 inches of coordinating fabric for the sashes. Since the tie on the sash pulls it taunt, I am able to use the same covers for both weddings even tho there are different style chairs.

Hello - I saw your message regarding making chair covers for your daughters wedding. Did you end up making them? Can you tell me what pattern you used or if you made your own? Also, would it be possible to get a copy of your pattern if you made your own? Any information you can offer would be greatly appreciated. My daughter is getting married in June 08 and I need to make about 50 covers. Thanks Lisa

Did you get the chair covers finished, if so would you consider renting them or sharing the pattern. Our daughters wedding is in Aug. 08 . I think we need about 50 to 75 for an outdoor wedding. Thanks

I found a free chair cover pattern. Go to save-on-crafts.com and search for chair cover pattern. It breaks it down so even i can do it. Good luck!

Did you get chair covers from Erik? How can I reach Erik to learn more about what they look like and possibly buy 8 white covers? Sincerely, Paula
