Event Planner Internship

Hi, my name is Casey, I`m 18. I am currently going to a college in Indianapolis. I would like to talk to someone who has a degree for Event Planning. What major did you go for? Would you change that now, knowing more about the business? Would I be able to intern/shadow at your office? I would like to see how the steps go for planning an event and see how things are ran. I would like to start my own business for weddings, birthday parties, business parties/meetings, ect.
