Gerber Daisy Wedding

Could someone please suggest what they have done for their own wedding in using Gerber Daisies... We are getting married in May and I just got back from the florist and she recommended that we put the bridesmaids flowers in water after we are done with pictures until the wedding... I don`t think I like that idea... I don`t want water dripping on all of our dresses during the ceremony... Has anyone used the gerber daisy in their wedding and how long did it last? Just wondering if I am going to get 3 hours out of the gerbers without having to put them in water... I don`t want them to wilt!
